This qualification reflects the role of community services workers
involved in the delivery, management and coordination of
person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community
services and work autonomously within their scope of practice
under broad directions from senior management. Workers support
people to make change in their lives to improve personal and
social wellbeing and may also have responsibility for the
supervision of other workers and volunteers. They may also
undertake case management and program coordination.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed
at least 200 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment
Requirements of units of competency.

This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom-based
setting, as well as through structured self-study. All
classroom-based training will take place at the Australian
National Education.
The timetable for this course will be
advised in your Offer Letter and Student Agreement.
You are required to attend classes for 14 hours per week, as well
as complete 6 hours of structured self-study per week for 40 study
weeks (4 terms of 10 weeks each). Holiday breaks are as indicated
in your timetable.
Class sessions include a mix of theory and practical activities
with a focus on creating a real-life workplace.
In addition to classroom based learning and structured self-study,
you will also need to complete approximately 5 hours of
additional, unsupervised study per week including general reading
and research for assessments
